Hanna & Barbera were two men!

Hanna-Barbera

Hanna-BarberaYes, as a kid I was convinced that they were two nice American ladies who, between a stuffed turkey and an apple pie, brought out hundreds of cartoons … and I found out that I was not the only one who thinks so! Aside from this beginning being very rather unserious, my idea to write an essay to tell the story of these two pioneers of television is very serious. Because William and Joseph had made as many as 250 animated series, unlike Walt Disney did, Hanna & Barbera were the first studio that have created cartoon strictly for tv shows. But producing for television was not so simple, costs and different times, the two men had invented a way to create cartoons and they made many of them, developing a school of style and a genre. So I finally found, thanks to the ARFestival!, a publisher interested inmy project the guys of the NPE. I then collected material (which in part I wanted to photograph and ceremoniously post here) and I began writing with passion for these two that really have “scored” a little the childhood of all of us.
